Wood Mackenzie expects residential storage capacity to grow by roughly 88 percent this year. In 2027, the overall U.S. residential storage market will increase fourfold. Yet, the average retail price of a battery unit ranges from $13,000 to $18,000, according to EnergySage, which can be cost-prohibitive.
